Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the ‘Inspiring Lives Matter’ Gala evening at The Duke Hotel, Guernsey with Victoria Pendleton. A huge thanks to Debbie from Ray & Scott Jewellers for organising a wonderful event with proceeds made to Headway Guernsey. Spotted Kandy Events made the room look fabulous and sponsors TMF Group Ltd, Mourant, Incl.usiveinc Activewear, Investec CI and Trident Trust all who contributed to a brilliant evening. Thank you. Victoria talked about the highs and lows of her hugely successful career and shared her lived experience of brain injury and the impact it has had on her life. Despite a hugely successful career; World Champion titles, Olympic Gold medals and ambition and drive in abundance, it wasn’t just these accolades that were impressive after meeting her. Victoria, was kind, funny and personable, a true class act. It was a pleasure to meet her.
