We are a small highly specialist team, well versed in the issues surrounding brain injury. Through our services we provide practical help and support working closely with other health care professionals.

This is us!

Philippa Stahelin – Executive Director and Trustee. With a background in sales and management, Philippa has worked with Headway Guernsey since 2008, heading up the charity and focusing on expanding its reach and developing relationships with HSC.  As an independently funded charity with no states funding, Philippa is the sole fundraiser for the charity.  Philippa has built up strong links with the corporate sector and individuals within the community to enable the services continue.  Headway Guernsey needs to raise in the region of £100,000 per annum.

Orla-Marie Manning – Services Director and Director.  Having volunteered for Headway Guernsey since its launch in 2006 in between University terms,  Orla then spent 2 years working at Headway Portsmouth devising and running the cognitive brain training modules which are invaluable to the relearning and remembering of life important skills.  Orla returned to the island in 2011 and since then she has developed the breadth of services available at Headway with particular emphasis on the cognitive modules and early intervention.  Orla assesses all individuals who engage with the Headway services via self referral or a referral from a health professional and liaises regularly with the brain injury team at the PEH.

Geraldine Williams – Activities Co-ordinator. Geraldine has been involved in Headway Guernsey since the charity was launched in 2006. She has extensive knowledge and understanding of the effects of brain injury, having a son who suffered head trauma in a cycle accident in 2000. As well as coordinating the social activities at Headway House, Geraldine jointly facilitates Family Group as well as managing the gym buddy outreach scheme which is supported by the island’s Neuro physio team.
